The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance stage designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all clients and improve entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
